Along with the onslaught of fashion shows and (eek!) rain for NYFW on September 10th, came all the gifting suites (love them of course!) and presentations (more love!) and lastly, at the end of the night, the celeb/model/all-around-gorgeous-people star-studded super-fun parties. Yes, on Thursday night, the first official night of Fashion Week, the fashion glitterati (naturally, me included!) descended on the IAC building in NYC’s fashionable Chelsea neighborhood, just a few blocks from the Hudson River. Heidi Klum (always gorgeous) and Gabriel Aubrey (sorry Halle, but your ex looks goooood) were on hand as INC celebrated their thirty-year milestone with Macy’s President and CEO Terry Lundgren. Also unveiled at the posh party, INC’s special 30th capsule collection – because what would a fashion week party be without another fashion show??
Christina Milian, Karolina Kurkova, Justine Skye, television personalities, models, and other fashionistas began the night posing on the red carpet, then segued into the party where waiters brought around delicious treats. Guests mingled and snapped photos in the GIF photo booth before they were soon treated to the main runway attraction. INC’s latest collab with Macy’s centered on severable affordable limited-edition pieces, which will be hitting the fashion retailer later this month. The catwalk was a stylish blend of fringe ponchos and faux-leather for the ladies – while sleek and slim-fit were the key looks for the men. The color scheme also favored shades of black and ivory – since unlike most collections shown at NYFW Spring ’16, these pieces are for hashtag’ing our fall #ootd’s. Stand-outs include the body-conscious faux-leather mini Heidi modeled (it will retail for $119.50). Also, the faux-fur vest and fringe ponchos are perfect for some trendy fall fun to add to your wardrobe staples. Men will find the sleek lines and slim-fit of the entire collection to be a perfectly polished go-to look. Prices range from $75-$200.
Heidi and Gabriel Aubrey also took to the catwalk themselves to blow out the candles for the special INC cake. Heidi applauded the brand for bringing fashion from the runway to every woman before bringing Macy’s head honcho Terry Lundgren up to welcome guests and thank them for joining in the celebration.
