What a sweet Valentine’s Day treat kicking off Michael De Paulo’s first-ever NYFW presentation on February 14th – known in some circles as Cupid’s holiday, but here in NYC, yet another day of fashion. Still, designer Michael De Paulo kept with the romantic theme of the day – showcasing dreamy, elegant, sophisticated gowns. Perfect for say, a gala or, ahem, a wedding guest— and even a stylish bride!
Front and center, of course, was a dramatic red gown that would certainly be sealed with a kiss for V-Day! With a deep, plunging neckline, beaded bodice and full-length hoop skirt, this stunning dress is hot, hot, hot.
Held at the Agora Gallery in Chelsea, De Paulo’s bevy of dresses (and a few wow jumpsuits), was truly on point looking like an art installation all on its own. Other favorites for Fall/Winter ’16 include a bling’d out jumpsuit, a dramatic black gown, a white (bridal?) sleeveless beaded gown and a beaded dress rounded out with feathers. Actually, who am I kidding? Every piece here is just gorgeous and sure to entice plenty of #closetenvy among your friends and Instagram followers!
Hair and makeup were dramatic, with hair swept up in the always-stylish topknots. So much thanks to the amazing Caravan Stylist Studio.
